Les Miserables has been around for many many years and it is well-known around the world. There have been many stage adaptations and many versions. However, the 2012 film is on of the only ones to have recorded the songs the same time as production.  Many of the actors from the film have said that it was a very hard thing to do and their infulence was what made their characters come to alive. For example, Anne Hathway who play Fantine said that during her recording of  "I Dreamed a Dream" she had to look very deeply into her own life and find things that made her upset or angry so that when she sang the song her emotions would come out into the role and be meaningful for those that watched it., she said because this phenomena has been so popular and so well-known she did not want to let anyone down and wanted to do them justice.  The plot gets affected by the actors in a very extreme way. The actors had to become connected with each other and their surroundings. For example the relationship between Jean Valjean and the priest. The connection that had made it easier for one to see how Valjean became united with God. The song and music shapes the reality of the event that is occuring throughout the entire film, therefore causing a reailty.
