Les Miserables: 2012 Film

Like the novel, the 2012 film adaption has a lot of the same religious content but it is seen differntly in the film thant he way that it is read in the novel. The characters are developed thourgh the way they are acting for example in an interview that  Anne Hataway did shortly after filming the movie, she said that she found it hard at first to sing and act as Fantine, she said that it was one of the hardest roles she as ever had to do because she had to find away to sing the feelings that her character was feeling.  The songs.

The characters in the film are as follows: Fantine is played by Anne Hathway, Cosette by Amanda Seyfried, Jean Valjean by Hugh Jackman ,  Javert by Russell Crowe and Marius by Eddie Redmayne.

The film was nomainted for 8 acadmey awards and won 3 of those including best supporting actress which went to Anne Hathway.

The plot follows the same as book and other versions. The film was produced by Working Title Films and distrubuted by Univerisal Pictures.  The film received 148.8 Million in Box office.  (Wikepedia)

The religion that is in the movie comes from the history and the plot itself. Les Miserables is about the French Revoltion. Therefore, looking for the religion in this novel or film can seem to be a bit obscure.

According to Huffington Post, There are many different forms of Christinaity present in this film. Evangelical Christians will say that see themselves in Javert, they do this because he is comitted to "the logic of works-rightheouness and a denial of the possbilty of spirtiual redemption and transformation" (huffigton post.com). Many people are able to connect themselves to Javert and see themsleves with inside him.
